Dr. Naveen Gupta

Dr. Naveen Gupta believes that education should prepare learners not only for an AI-driven future but also to become ethical, responsible, and compassionate digital citizens. His philosophy is rooted in the belief that technology should enhance human potential rather than replace it. He advocates for learner-centric classrooms that integrate Artificial Intelligence, innovation, digital well-being, and computational thinking while preserving the indispensable role of teachers in nurturing creativity, critical thinking, empathy, and lifelong learning. His mission is to empower educators and schools to embrace emerging technologies responsibly, ensuring that innovation is always balanced with inclusion, ethics, and student well-being.

Biography

Dr. Naveen Gupta is an award-winning ICT educator, teacher trainer, author, and educational technology leader with over 25 years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, and educational leadership. He serves as the Head of the ICT Department at St. Mark's Sr. Sec. Public School, New Delhi, where he leads technology integration initiatives and teaches Computer Science and Informatics Practices.

He is the recipient of the prestigious National ICT Award (2019) from the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and the Delhi State Teacher Award (2024). His contributions to education have also been recognised through the Global Teacher Award (2021), Acharya Award (2020), Most Inspiring Educationist of the Year (2023), and recognition among the Top 20 Global Teachers by 1M1B.
A nationally and internationally recognised trainer, Dr. Gupta has trained over 35,000 educators through workshops, conferences, faculty development programmes, and webinars on Artificial Intelligence in Education, Digital Citizenship, Cyber Safety, Digital Well-being, Gamification, Computational Thinking, and innovative pedagogies aligned with NEP 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF). He has served as a resource person for CBSE, NCERT, NIOS, universities, and educational institutions across India.
Dr. Gupta is the author of "Together with Computer Science and Informatics Practices – Class XII" and has contributed to curriculum development by reviewing NCERT Computer Science textbooks and designing teacher training modules. His academic work earned the Best Research Paper Award at an international conference organised by Jamia Millia Islamia.
As the Founder and Convenor of Geek<a/>Hertz, an international technology festival, he has created opportunities for students to explore coding, Artificial Intelligence, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He has also held leadership roles in the Global Education Network (GEN) and currently serves as a MagicSchool AI Brand Ambassador, promoting the ethical and effective integration of AI in education.
