Mr. Mohd Ayaz Raina

Mohammad Ayaz Raina is a dedicated educator, researcher, and nationally recognized ICT practitioner serving as Lecturer in Botany in the School Education Department, Jammu & Kashmir. He has consistently worked to transform teaching through technology integration, innovative pedagogy, scientific inquiry, and community engagement, making learning more interactive, inclusive, and learner-centred.
He completed his Master's degree in Botany from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) after graduating from Government Degree College Rajouri. To strengthen his professional competencies, he earned advanced ICT qualifications, including DOEACC A-Level, ADIT, and CABA-MDTP, along with certifications from NCERT, CIET, TISS Mumbai, Commonwealth of Learning, UNICEF, Pi Jam Foundation, and Cyber Peace Foundation.
Mr. Raina is the recipient of the prestigious National ICT Award and the Jammu & Kashmir Best Teacher Award for his outstanding contributions to educational innovation and effective use of Information and Communication Technology in school education. He has also received several national and international recognitions for excellence in digital content creation, teacher professional development, and educational leadership.
As a Master Resource Person for SCERT Jammu, DIET Rajouri, Samagra Shiksha, and other academic institutions, he has conducted numerous capacity-building programmes on ICT integration, digital pedagogy, cyber hygiene, artificial intelligence in education, e-content development, online assessment, and innovative classroom practices, helping teachers effectively integrate technology into teaching.
He has developed digital learning resources, interactive presentations, educational videos, online quizzes, virtual laboratory demonstrations, and ICT-enabled lesson plans aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020). His innovative practices promote experiential learning, scientific temper, critical thinking, collaboration, and improved student engagement.
Mr. Raina has played a pioneering role in promoting Cyber Hygiene and Cyber Security Awareness by designing awareness modules, conducting workshops, webinars, and campaigns on cyber safety, responsible digital citizenship, cyberbullying, misinformation, and digital wellbeing, benefiting thousands of students, teachers, and community members.
Beyond academics, he actively contributes to environmental conservation, voter awareness (SVEEP), disaster preparedness, road safety, health awareness, and anti-drug campaigns through science exhibitions, plantation drives, and community outreach programmes. His research focuses on technology integration, cyber hygiene, digital literacy, educational innovation, and science education.
Driven by the belief that education is the foundation of nation-building, Mohammad Ayaz Raina continues to inspire students, empower teachers, and strengthen educational institutions through innovation, leadership, integrity, and dedicated service.
