Mr. Md Ejazul Haque

I am Md. Ejazul Haque, a teacher and Headmaster with more than 31 years of experience in school education. I joined the teaching profession on 17 October 1994 and currently serve as TGT Science and Headmaster of PM SHRI Upgraded High School Diwankhana, Chatra, Jharkhand. I have been serving as Headmaster since 2020.
I believe that every child has the ability to learn and grow when provided with the right environment, encouragement and opportunities. My educational philosophy is rooted in inclusion, experiential learning, community participation, technology integration and the belief that education must reach every child, especially those who remain outside or at the margins of the formal education system.
As a teacher of Science and Mathematics at the secondary level, I try to connect classroom concepts with children's experiences and the world around them. I use activity-based learning, ICT-enabled teaching, smart classroom practices, digital resources, experiments, collaborative activities and locally relevant examples to make learning meaningful and engaging.
Technology has been an important part of my educational journey. I have contributed to DIKSHA content development, review and enrichment and have promoted the effective use of digital learning resources in classrooms. I have also contributed to teacher professional development through the CPD Module Development Committee of JCERT, School Leadership Academy Jharkhand and various roles connected with ICT, DIKSHA, NILP-ULLAS, FLN, KRP and SRP programmes. I have also contributed to textbook and curriculum development committees.
One of the most meaningful parts of my journey has been my community initiative, Hamen Bhi Padhao Abhiyan, which I have been carrying forward since 2019. Through this initiative, I have worked with children from Wadi-E-Irfan Tola and their families to bring out-of-school children into learning. We used songs, games, foundational literacy and numeracy activities and community engagement to create a welcoming learning environment. During the COVID-19 lockdown, I continued these efforts through alternative ways of keeping children connected with education.
At school, I have promoted initiatives such as DIWANKHANA Reads / Chhauua Pathin – Learning Path, ULLAS Adarsh Chetna Kendra, Baal Sansad, Eco Club and Mission LiFE, career guidance, FLN activities and ICT-enabled learning. I believe that a school should be a space where children not only acquire knowledge but also develop confidence, creativity, responsibility and a lifelong desire to learn.
My work has received recognition through the District Best Teacher Award 2022, the National Teacher Award 2023 and the State Teacher Contribution Honour 2026. My school has also achieved notable results, including Overall Champion/1st position at the District PM SHRI Convention, Best FLN Stall, 1st position in School Twinning and 1st position in the District Science Exhibition.
