Ms. Khushboo Kumari

I am Khushboo Kumari (Tchr. Khushboo Anand), currently serving as the Head Teacher at UPS Bidaydih, Banka, Bihar. My teaching journey began in 2013 with a strong belief that education is not just about teaching lessons but about shaping lives, building confidence, and creating opportunities for every child.

I come from a family where becoming a government employee was a significant milestone, and I am proud to be the first girl in my family to secure a government job. My father's belief in me and my husband's continuous support have always inspired me to move forward.

I believe in joyful, inclusive, innovative, and child-centred education. I use Activity-Based Learning (ABL), Teaching-Learning Materials (TLM), storytelling, peer learning, experiential activities, and creative teaching methods to make classroom learning interesting and meaningful. My focus is on strengthening Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and ensuring that every child learns with confidence.

One of my significant contributions has been creating and sharing innovative teaching-learning methods and educational content that have gained nationwide popularity through digital platforms. My innovative teaching videos and learning activities have reached educators, parents, and children across India, inspiring teachers to adopt joyful and effective classroom practices.

I have also worked to spread awareness about Good Touch–Bad Touch, personal safety, and moral education among children. My awareness initiatives and educational videos on child safety have received widespread attention across the country. I strongly believe that education must prepare children not only academically but also socially and emotionally.

Through various digital platforms, I have built an educational community of more than 1 million followers, where I share innovative teaching ideas, learning resources, classroom activities, and awareness content. My aim is to make quality educational resources accessible to teachers, parents, and learners nationwide.

As a Head Teacher, I also focus on school transformation through improved attendance, cleanliness, hygiene, parental participation, community engagement, and better learning outcomes. I believe that a government school can become a centre of excellence through dedication, teamwork, innovation, and community support.

I am honoured to receive the Bihar STA 2024 and the National Teacher Award 2026. These recognitions have strengthened my commitment to educational innovation and motivated me to share my experiences and learnings with the wider teaching community.

My vision is to create joyful, safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environments where every child gets equal opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed.

For me, awards are not the destination; they are a reminder of greater responsibility. I believe in learning, sharing, inspiring, and continuously contributing to society through education.
