My lifelong mission has been to foster curiosity, scientific temper, and an innovative mindset among students through the promotion of science and technology.I began my teaching career as a Junior Scientist at the Regional Community Science Center in Rajkot1997–2000. Thereafter, in 2002, I served as a Project Officer at the Center for Environmental Education, Ahmedabad, working on the 'Anand Shala Project' aimed at educational and physical development across 10 remote schools in the Dang district. Since 2002, I have been serving as a Science Teacher at Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul Vidyalaya, Rajkot. To support meritorious students from economically disadvantaged rural backgrounds, our institution provides quality education, accommodation, and wholesome food at a nominal fee of just ₹360 per year. Through our holistic development model, we maintain a zero-dropout rate, ensuring no talented student is left behind due to financial constraints.
To make learning practical and research-driven, I secured a grant of ₹20,00,000 from NITI Aayog Government of India in 2018 to establish an ATL lab at our school. Under my mentorship as an ATL and Eco-Club facilitator, students have achieved national and international recognition in prestigious competitions such as the World’s Biggest Robotic Olympiad-2022, ATL Marathon-2020, Indian Future Tycoon-2023, and World STEM Robotic Olympiad-2024—winning prizes including 3D printers, laptops, tablets and smart watches. My continuous guidance has inspired students to excel at science exhibitions:One of my students secured a Research Patent for a cotton spinning machine prototype.
My students have represented India 5 times at International Science Fairs, Gujarat 10 times at National Science Fairs, and Rajkot 5 times at State Level exhibitions. On a personal front, I developed a domestic alkaline water filtration system and received a Granted Research Patent in March 2024.
To simplify complex concepts for Standard 9 and 10 students, I introduced interactive scientific games and hands-on experiments, helping our school achieve 90% to 100% results in Science. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I served as a GSEB Science Counsellor and created free animated YouTube videos and interactive presentations to ensure uninterrupted learning.
Beyond the classroom, I have driven social initiatives like Vigyan Safar, Vigyan Darshan, and Sunday Science School, and edited publications such as Vigyan Jagruti, E-Rasayanam, and Rasoda Prayog Pothi. I also spearheaded the Gharnu Pani Gharma rainwater harvesting project in Rajkot and provided emergency relief and academic support during the 2001 Kutch earthquake at Anjar.
