Brief Profile
Mr. Govind Sharma, Master at Govt. HSS Khawas Rajouri J&K is the recieptant of prestigious National Award to Teachers-2015 from His Excellency the President of India late Sh. Pranab Mukherjee. He has been working in the School Education Department J&K UT since January 2002 and were served various schools in border districts of Jammu division. He too has been served as teacher in the recognized & Govt. Aided Public School of Jammu for more than 07 years before his selection as teacher in Govt. School. He has also been worked as the Associate NCC Officer in Govt. Higher Secondary Schools of J&K UT for more than 12 years. In the year 2018, School Education Department J&K has appointed him as Nodal Officer in the Directorate of School Education Jammu, J&K UT to liasion with the Chief Education Officers of Jammu Division, National Cadet Corps (NCC) organization J&K & Ladakh, National Service Scheme (NSS) J&K, Youth Services & Sports Department J&K, Bharat Scouts & Guides J&K, Samagra Shiksha J&K for coordinating various schemes of Ministries of Education & Literacy GOI, Youth Affairs & Sports GOI and Administrative Department School Education J&K viz: Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Fit India campaign, NCC, NSS, Khelo India/Sports, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Yoga trainings, Ayurveda and other general physical Health activities of students & teachers. His remarkable achievements in the above fields as Nodal Officer till ending 2025 were recognized by everyone at state and national level especially students & teachers. He has also been the recieptant of many more achievements for his dedicated & outstanding achievements in the field of Education/society at State, National & International levels viz: Division Best Teacher 2010, Rashtriya Shiksha Rattan Award-2017 on Teacher’s Day 2017, Shikshak Shri Award -2018 on 5th September, 2018 etc.
He personally profess that teaching should not be linked merely with employment and source of livelihood, but it should be treated as a missionary profession based on only giving’s, giving’s and giving’s. Teachers should follow the principles of teachings advocated by the revered missionaries and preachers like Swami Vivekananda, Guru Ravinder Nath Tagore, Dr. Zakir Hussain, Guru Nanak Dev, Gandhiji, S. Radha Krishanan who have the revolutionized materialized the Indian thoughts, values and actions and transformed the society.
Mr. Govind Sharma believes that education is the foundation of nation-building and he continues want to inspire students, empower teachers, and strengthen educational institutions through innovation, leadership, integrity, and dedicated service to till his superannuation on 30th April 2029 and he too wish to serve the society even in his post retirement life as well.
