Mr. Bherulal Osara

He is a dedicated, committed, and innovative teacher from Madhya Pradesh. He is serving at Government Integrated Secondary School, Kheria, Susner, District Agar Malwa, Madhya Pradesh. He believes that education should not be limited to textbooks and examinations. Therefore, he has made the holistic development of children, joyful learning, experiential learning, and practical education the core of his teaching approach.
Shri Osara firmly believes that every child has unique potential and that, with appropriate opportunities, encouragement, and a supportive learning environment, every child can perform to the best of their ability. With this vision, he has worked extensively to develop a fear-free and child-centred classroom environment in his school. He encourages children to ask questions, express their ideas, conduct experiments, participate actively, and learn from their mistakes without fear or hesitation.
“Learning by Doing” occupies a central place in his teaching methodology. He uses locally available and discarded materials to develop low-cost Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs) and involves students directly in various learning activities. This approach helps develop creativity, curiosity, scientific thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence among learners.
Shri Osara has undertaken several initiatives for students who face learning difficulties, including special learning camps, remedial teaching, additional practice, and individualized guidance. He has also worked to bring children who had dropped out or moved away from schooling back into the mainstream of education through regular interaction with parents and community participation.
His major educational innovations include project-based learning, water quality testing, environmental conservation, Eco-Club activities, tree plantation, water conservation, biodiversity awareness, and Mission LiFE-based activities. Through Yoga and Surya Namaskar, he promotes healthy lifestyle practices, discipline, physical well-being, and positive habits among students. He also actively encourages students to participate in sports, cultural programmes, creative activities, and various co-curricular events for their overall development.His dedication to education and innovative contributions have received recognition at both the national and state levels. He was honoured with the National Teacher Award 2025, recognising his significant contribution to education and innovative teaching practices. In 2026, he was also honoured with the State-Level Excellence in Service Award by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, acknowledging his commitment and outstanding service in the field of education.
